Hello Word는 의학·비즈니스·시험 대비 등 모든 분야의 단어·용어를 암기하기 위한 학습 도구이며, 의학 관련 콘텐츠를 학습하는 경우에도 의료 전문가의 자문·진단·처방을 대체하지 않습니다.

제1조 (서비스의 성격)
Hello Word(헬로 워드, 이하 "서비스")는 이미지에서 텍스트를 추출하여 의학·비즈니스·시험 대비·일반 영어 등 모든 분야의 단어장을 만들고, 이를 암기·퀴즈·복습하도록 돕는 범용 학습 도구입니다.
서비스는 단어·용어의 학습만을 목적으로 하며, 다음 어떠한 기능도 제공하지 않습니다.
- 의료 자문 또는 건강 상담
- 질병의 진단 또는 진단 보조
- 의약품의 처방·추천 또는 복약 지도
- 치료·시술 방법의 제시 또는 권유
서비스가 보여 주는 용어의 뜻·발음 등은 암기 학습을 위한 일반 참고 정보일 뿐이며, 의학 관련 용어라 하더라도 특정 개인의 건강 상태에 맞춘 의학적 조언이 아닙니다.
제2조 (의료기기에 해당하지 않음)
서비스가 다루는 여러 분야 중 의학 관련 용어 학습에 대해서는, 질병의 진단·치료·경감·처치 또는 예방을 목적으로 하지 않습니다. 이에 따라 서비스 제공자는 서비스가 「의료기기법」상 의료기기에 해당하지 않고, 서비스 제공 행위가 「의료법」상 의료행위에 해당하지 않는다고 판단합니다.
식품의약품안전처가 안내하는 의료기기 해당 여부 및 이른바 '웰니스 제품' 판단 기준에 따르면, 질병의 진단·치료 등을 목적으로 하지 않고 일상적인 건강관리 또는 학습·정보 제공을 목적으로 하는 제품은 일반적으로 의료기기로 보지 않습니다. 서비스는 의학을 포함한 다양한 분야의 학습·정보 제공 목적 도구입니다.
제3조 (인식 결과의 정확도 비보장)
서비스의 문자 인식(OCR) 및 용어 처리 기능은 인공지능 기술을 기반으로 하며, 인식 결과가 원본 이미지와 다를 수 있습니다.
추출된 단어·의미·발음 등에는 오류가 포함될 수 있으므로, 서비스는 그 정확성·완전성·최신성을 보장하지 않습니다. 학습에 활용하기 전 반드시 해당 분야의 공인된 사전·문헌·교재 등 신뢰할 수 있는 자료와 직접 대조하여 확인하시기 바랍니다.
제4조 (임상·실무 사용 금지)
서비스에서 생성·표시되는 단어장, 퀴즈 결과, 용어 정보를 다음 용도로 사용하는 것을 엄격히 금지합니다.
- 환자의 진단 또는 치료에 관한 결정
- 의약품의 처방 또는 투약 지도
- 의료기기의 조작 또는 판독에 관한 판단
- 진료기록 등 의료 문서의 작성 근거 또는 법적 근거로의 사용
이용자가 위 금지 사항을 위반하여 발생한 결과에 대한 책임은 이용자 본인에게 있으며, 서비스는 관련 법령이 허용하는 범위에서 이에 대하여 책임을 지지 않습니다.
제5조 (이용자의 책임)
이용자는 업로드하는 이미지에 대하여 다음 사항을 준수할 책임이 있습니다.
- 해당 이미지의 저작권 등 권리를 보유하거나 적법한 이용 권한을 갖출 것
- 환자 정보·개인 의료기록 등 타인의 민감정보가 포함된 이미지를 업로드하지 않을 것
업로드된 이미지는 디스크에 저장되지 않고 메모리에서 처리된 후 즉시 폐기되며 외부로 전송되지 않으나, 위와 같은 책임은 이미지를 업로드하는 이용자에게 있습니다. 개인정보의 처리에 관한 자세한 내용은 개인정보처리방침을 참고하시기 바랍니다.
제6조 (책임의 제한)

Article 1 (Nature of the Service)
Hello Word (the "Service") is a learning tool that extracts text from images to build vocabulary sets across all fields — medical, business, test preparation, general English, and more — and helps users memorize, quiz, and review them.
The Service exists solely to support learning vocabulary and terminology and does not provide any of the following.
- Medical advice or health consultation
- Diagnosis or diagnostic assistance for any disease
- Prescription, recommendation, or guidance on taking medication
- Suggestions or recommendations of treatment or procedures
The meanings and pronunciations of terms shown by the Service are general reference information for memorization purposes only; even for medical terms, this is not medical advice tailored to any individual's health condition.
Article 2 (Not a Medical Device)
Among the various fields the Service covers, with respect to learning medical terminology specifically: the Service is not intended to diagnose, treat, alleviate, or prevent any disease. Accordingly, the Company considers that the Service does not qualify as a medical device under the Medical Devices Act, and that providing the Service does not constitute the practice of medicine under the Medical Service Act.
Under the criteria published by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for determining medical device status and so-called "wellness products," products that are not intended to diagnose or treat disease, but are instead intended for everyday health management or for learning/providing information, are generally not considered medical devices. The Service is such a learning/information tool, spanning medicine and many other fields.
Article 3 (No Guarantee of Recognition Accuracy)
The Service's character recognition (OCR) and term-processing features are based on AI technology, and recognition results may differ from the original image.
The extracted terms, meanings, and pronunciations may contain errors; the Service does not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or currency. Before relying on them for study, please cross-check against reliable, authoritative dictionaries, literature, or textbooks in the relevant field.
Article 4 (Prohibition on Clinical or Professional Use)
Using the vocabulary sets, quiz results, or term information generated or displayed by the Service for any of the following purposes is strictly prohibited.
- Decisions regarding a patient's diagnosis or treatment
- Prescribing medication or providing dosage guidance
- Operating or interpreting medical devices
- Using it as a basis for, or legal grounds in, medical records or other medical documentation
Users are solely responsible for any consequences arising from violating the above prohibitions, and the Service bears no liability for them to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Article 5 (User Responsibility)
Users are responsible for the following with respect to images they upload.
- Holding the copyright or other rights to the image, or a lawful license to use it
- Not uploading images containing another person's sensitive information, such as patient information or personal medical records
Uploaded images are never stored on disk; they are processed in memory and discarded immediately, and are never transmitted externally — but the responsibilities above still rest with the user uploading the image. See the Privacy Policy for details on how personal information is processed.
Article 6 (Limitation of Liability)
This Disclaimer is governed by and construed under the laws of the Republic of Korea, and together with the other legal documents constitutes the terms of use of the Service.
